St. Andrews.
The town of St. Andrews in Scotland is
situated on Scotland’s east coast, approximately one hour by
car, north of Edinburgh. The town is best known as the home of
golf, with the world’s oldest golf course 'The Old Course'
situated within the town. You will also find the Royal and
Ancient (R&A as it is often referred to) Golf Club, that sets
the rules of golf world wide except for the USA. There are many
golf courses in and around St. Andrews, which attracts golfers
from all over the world. As one hotelier said, “ Golf is a
rich vein that runs through St Andrews."

St Andrews University - St Andrews has much to offer
besides golf. It is the home of Scotland’s oldest university,
which rivals Oxford and Cambridge for its age, history and
traditions. The University has many old and beautiful buildings.

Cathedral - The town is full of ancient buildings
that are particular in style, to this corner of Scotland.
Religion and the
church played a big part over the centuries in St Andrews. There
is the massive ruin of St Andrews Cathedral. You will find many
sites throughout the town where individuals were burnt at the
stake for their beliefs.
The old town of St. Andrews, where you will find the shops,
restaurants and café’s also the cathedral, harbour and 18th
green of the Old Course are all within easy walking distance.
For touring the many beautiful quaint coastal East Fife
villages, St. Andrews offers a great base. Discover history,
