St Andrews Bus StationSt Andrews has excellent transport links which include a Bus Station a few minutes walk from the Town Centre.

The bus network is crucial in linking St Andrews to the trains, which are a few miles outside St Andrews and to the airports which are further afield. There is also of course a number of taxis too.

Buses to and From Leuchars St Andrews Railway Station.

Two operators run between Leuchars and St Andrews:-

  • Stagecoach in Fife operates Services F1, F2, 23A, 72, 96, 96A, 99, 99A & 99B. Tel 01382 541159

Edinburgh and St Andrews Buses - to and from.

Stage Coach Buses operate buses to and from Edinburgh to St Andrews. This is generally a much cheaper option than going by train (about half the price for a return fare).St Andrews Buses at the Bus Station

St Andrews Bus Station opening hours are:-
Monday to Friday    0730 - 2230
Saturday        0800 - 2230
Sunday            1200 - 2030

St Andrews Bus Station has an electronic departure screen which not only has the bus information, but also the train details at Leuchars (St Andrews) Rail station. The timetable information are located within the main bus station building as is the Supervisor's Office / Travel Shop. Timetables for services running outwith normal staffing hours (when the building is closed) are displayed in the windows between Stances 2 & 3.

Ladies, Gents, Disabled toilets and baby changing facilities are located within the main building.  There is a 30p charge.

Cycle Facilities - There are 6 lockers next to the phone box at the bus station entrance. Users must contact the bus station supervisor for initial access to the lockers. Users must also provide their own padlock.

There are CCTV cameras positioned throughout St Andrews Bus Station but not in the car park.
